INCORPORER CE QUI RESTE ICI AU DANS MON CŒUR

INCORPORER ce qui reste ici au dans mon cœur spans all four chapters or accompanied solos based on the performance Éclats mats, a piece for three dancers and a viola player, created in 2011 and revived in 2005 at the Centre Pompidou in Paris. After creating Éclats mats, I chose to isolate the performers on the stage to go deeper into the exploration of the corporeal matter and bodily states, the occupation of space and the relationship to time that I had established in the 'mother'-piece, this time conceiving a research and creation project to be developed over a period of six years.

Following the previous accompanied solos, INCORPORER ce qui reste ici au cœur, and within this game of relayed roles, now there is an affirmation of the first person imperative and shifting the place, the moment, by a new breaking point to create a fresh and final counterpoint in the suite. For the first and last time, the character now “speaks up”, having remained speechless throughout the previous chapters, kept apart, in the periphery.

This fourth chapter explodes in the dry shock hitting the ground, like a bursting shell, in a sudden change of state; a new counterpoint in response to the stretching and dilation of the first two chapters, and breaking with the acceleration, precipitation and impulsive character of the third chapter. In this place, no words are added, but verbal time is replaced and modified, the place of action, the angle of attack and the point of view, to displace oneself in an environment inhabited by objects and traces, an opaque environment, chaotic, red, humid, black, angular and round at the same time, probing deep within, to shift away from sentiments and move toward restrained emotion, from the heart to the guts.
